The Las Vegas Golden Knights are heading into the 2021-2022 season as a bit of a mixed bag. Sure, the team just made the playoffs for the second year in a row, but losing Marc-Andre Fleury is a huge blow to the organization. Furthermore, the loss of Cody Glass and a few other supporting players have really cast doubt on whether this is a squad that can go all the way again.
With that being said, the Las Vegas Golden Knights are listed as -1600 to make the playoffs and +900 to miss the postseason. Again, a lot of that probably has to do with Fleury being traded to the Blackhawks during the offseason. Keep in mind that Flury was a deciding factor in the Golden Knights' defense throughout the season and into the playoffs. He even won the Vezina trophy.
As it stands, the Golden Knights have very mixed odds when it comes to winning the Stanley Cup trophy at the end of the 2022 season. For example, Draft Kings has the Knights with the 3rd best odds in the league at +800. The consensus seems to be that the Golden Knights will be in the running for a championship next season, but no one has them listed as the clear favorite.
